Keene Sentinel TalkBack

Keene Sentinel TalkBack: "Most recently, in the Monadnock Region, religious differences are climbing to the top of discussions surrounding the expansion of the conservative, Catholic St. Benedict Center in Richmond, exposing a sentiment among some that religious intolerance is generating opposition to the plans.

And despite opponents’ saying their stance is not one of religious intolerance, the very fact that it has been interpreted by some as intolerance raises many questions.

Why is religious intolerance a question so quickly raised? Where does that notion come from? Is there religious intolerance in the Monadnock Region?

This has become quite the spirited discussion! More discussion on this to come, and many posts I'm sure. One question is "does a comunity have the obligation to exempt from taxes a religious group who's goals and statements are bigoted against other residents?"
